To Pontal do Sul or Paranaguá
From Curitiba, it's about 1.5–2 hours by car or bus to the boat terminals in Pontal do Sul or Paranaguá — we recommend Pontal do Sul, as it has more departure times and is closer.

Boat crossing
Regular boats cross from Pontal do Sul to Ilha do Mel, arriving at the Nova Brasília or Encantadas communities, depending on the route. The guesthouse is in Nova Brasília — choose that route when buying your ticket.

From the dock, Pousada Pôr do Sol is a short walk along the shore. Let us know your expected arrival time and we'll help with directions.
From the dock to the guesthouse, on foot
After landing at the Nova Brasília dock, follow the shore to Pousada Pôr do Sol. The route below shows the way — about a 1 km easy walk along the beach.
Helpful tips
- There are no cars on the island: luggage is carried on foot or by handcart.
- Check boat schedules in advance, especially outside high season.
